Family legacy

Our story began in 1940 when Luigi Raimondi, a lumberjack by trade, first put a motor on the pontoon boat that would transport his timber to Lugano.
His son Giorgio decided very early on to make a living on the lake: he earned a degree in shipbuilding and honed his technical skills, creating vessels out of various types of wood that even today, seventy years later, can be seen in perfect condition coasting along Lake Lugano, Lake Maggiore and Lake Lucerne.
Giorgio Junior could not but continue on the path initiated by his grandfather. Following in his father’s footsteps, he made his living manufacturing wooden vessels up until the mid 1970s. But as always, when one door closes, another opens: Giorgio Junior had become an authority on marine propulsion technologies and the most sophisticated outboard motors. He launched a 30-year research and experimentation program to develop ever faster and more innovative prototypes.
